When in Manchester, I had a day of visiting the more cultural and artistic areas of the city which were also free of charge.
1. Affleck Market

Affleck market has to be one of the quirkiest places to shop with over four floors of stalls. As you walked from floor to floor, the building was set up with any of businesses from gothic to vintage clothing to tarot readings, their own tattoo studio to the most beautiful art work.

3. Piccadilly records

Piccadilly records is located in Northern Quarters, this is one of its best shops and also rated one of the best record shops in the uk.

4. China town

Manchester’s Chinatown is the second largest in the United Kingdom so it’s definitely worth a visit. There is a wide choice of quality Chinese restaurants, bakeries and shops, I never got a chance to try any of the restaurant as came across this on my way for the train but I wish I did and will be on my to do list for the next trip.
Also in February they have their annual New Years festival which I’ve heard Manchester’s is great.
